About this position
VIA98 Workforce is seeking an experienced Facilities Welder to perform welding, metal fabrication, and repairs on facilities, vehicles, and heavy equipment. This position works in both shop and field environments.
Responsibilities

Fabricate and repair gates, fencing, ladders, trailers, handrails, equipment components, and other metal structures.

Repair cracks and damaged components on vehicles, machinery, and building equipment.

Read blueprints, measure materials, and Client out fabrication projects.

Operate welding equipment, plasma cutters, torches, bandsaws, grinders, and other metalworking tools.

Estimate material needs, maintain welding supplies, and assist mechanics with equipment repairs.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

At least six years of welding experience , including TIG, MIG, stick, and spool gun welding.

Welding certifications and proficiency in SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW processes.

Ability to interpret blueprints and use precision measuring tools.

Knowledge of metals, fabrication techniques, and safe equipment operation.

Basic computer skills for work orders and timekeeping.

Ability to meet site security and access requirements.

Ability to obtain a Class B driver's license and forklift, aerial platform, and telehandler certifications within one year. A Florida Class E driver's license may be required.
Preferred Qualifications

AWS Certified Welder.

Automotive, truck, or heavy equipment repair experience.

Machining experience using mills and lathes.
Schedule and Physical Requirements
-
Availability for rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays to support 24/7 operations.

Work in indoor and outdoor environments.

Extended periods of standing or sitting and lifting up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Shift: Monday-Friday 7AM-3:30PM

Rate: $30/hr
